The Children's Board Heart Gallery Tampa Bay is a unique collaborative effort of the Children's Board of Hillsborough County, Hillsborough Kids and Camelot Community Care to find forever families for our children in the foster care system.
HK is governed by a Board of Directors who represent the Hillsborough community in developing and overseeing the children in the child protection system of care. As the lead agency, HK holds the contract for all child protection services previously performed by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office provides Child Protection Investigations previously performed by DCF. HK's goals include reducing the average length of stay for children in the child welfare system, increasing adoptions and the number of available foster home placements, and meeting or exceeding the state standards for safety.
